BKS and Devon Barker (Barker River Trips):
Lower Salmon River
This trip offers kayak instruction on class III rapids with raft space available for non-kayakers. We will focus on paddling techniques, fine-tuning your roll, running rapids, and surfing. The Lower Salmon River offers fun pool and rapids, expansive sandy beaches, and warm water. Roll technique and bracing will be worked on each afternoon in the calm pools at camp. Great trip to relax, while improving your paddling! The trip is all inclusive and if your traveling from Oregon or Idaho we have locations to make it easier for you. *Equipment is available from Bend Kayak School.

Furthermore, I have run the Lower Salmon close to a dozen times. For those of you unfamiliar with this river you are in for an amazing retreat. According to my river log on our last decent we spotted Big Horn Sheep, Mountain Goats, Deer, and we had come across an abandoned orchard from the pioneer days providing us with fresh fruit (grapes, berries, and apples). This is a very rare opportunity…”
